About Me

Along with my artistic endeavors, I have always been active locally by volunteering in community events. From Grass Ridge Horse Trials as lead jump judge, a position I held for eight years, to being a board member for numerous organizations that have called me and held my dedication. From 500 to 5,000 people, no group is too large or non-profit too small. My passion is helping in whatever capacity is needed.

My education has been broad and varied, (Thank God, I have needed the experience!) I studied at the Art Institute of Chicago, Milwaukee Institute of Art & Design, and UW Milwaukee, where I achieved my degree. I have worked as an artist in some capacity in almost every job I have ever had.

I worked as a glass designer and restoration specialist at Oak Brook Esser Studios in WI. I began exploring graphic design and print media when I moved to Arizona to continue in glass. I came to work at the fairgrounds in Sonoita in 2015. There, I managed their events and designed all of the print and visual media for their races, rodeo, and county fair, the experience teaching me how to speak publicly.

I write a monthly article for OutdoorSW magazine https://www.outdoorssw.com, teach art classes, and sell my paintings and pet memorials.

Writing these books and creating artwork for them has been both a passion and a pleasure; I hope you love them as much as I do. Aside from writing, my husband and I spend hours creating works of art every day, so please take a look!
